Shaun Martin, a singer, has died.

He was 45 years old.

The singer who won a Grammy is known for being in the jazz group Snarky Puppy.

No one knows what killed him.

But he was getting better from an illness that wasn’t made public and there was a benefit concert coming up for him.

“This special night is about honoring Shaun’s amazing skills and working together as a musical community to help Shaun get better.” Let’s fill the air with hope, love, and good vibes tonight!” A caption was on the post.

He was killed, Snarky Puppy said in an Instagram post.

“Yesterday, we lost a music legend and, more importantly, a beautiful, luminous human being,” the pair wrote.

“Shaun Martin touched so many people during his life and through the beautiful immortality of music, will continue to do so.”

“I want to say so much, but words just aren’t enough. The band said, “Rest in peace,” and they showed a picture of him playing.

Shaun was also in charge of music for the gospel singer Kirk Franklin.

She was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 23, 1978.

Shaun won four Grammys for his work with Kirk and three for his work with Snarky Puppy.

His mother signed him up for piano lessons when he was four years old. He learned both classical and jazz music there.

Shaun learned how to play gospel music at church.

After he died, his wife Monica Wilson Martin and son Harlem were left behind.

On social media, people began to pay tribute to the singer.

“It’s sad to hear this; his spirit and happy playing were big parts of Snarky Puppy’s sound.” “RIP Shawn,” someone on Reddit wrote.

“I’m sorry to hear this,” said someone else.

A third said, “This is the worst f**king news.”

“Nope, dude. Someone on Instagram wrote, “He can’t be gone.”

“Death to Shaun Martin. Someone on X tweeted, “Thanks for the music and thanks for being you.”

“Shaun Martin was a huge name in music.” He was one of the best musicians who ever lived. I still can’t believe he’s gone. Wow, that blows my mind. “I have nothing to say,” said someone else.

Shaun’s musical skills are known all over the business.

With Snarky Puppy, he put out seven albums.

The musician worked on many other albums, such as Bjork’s Biophila Live, all of Kirk Franklin’s albums, Kurt Carr’s gospel music, David Crosby’s, and more.
