Justin Bieber has admitted he wanted to ‘protect’ Billie Eilish from the music industry in a resurfaced interview following Diddy’s arrest.
Speaking in 2020, Bieber was promoting his latest album when he was asked about Eilish rise onto the scene.
The ‘Baby’ singer knows all about being in the spotlight at a young age, as he entered the music industry at the age of just 15.
Bieber has spoken candidly about his mental health struggles in the past, and even reached out to Eilish to offer his advice and support.
And the ‘Love Yourself’ singer became emotional when speaking about Eilish in an interview with Apple Music, which has resurfaced on social media this week.
He said: “I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody.”
Speaking about his own mental health struggles while his stock in the industry was so high, Bieber added: “It was bad… It was dark.
“Think about how young I was and so impressionable and you have everybody telling me how awesome I am at all times… I just want people to understand the psychology of why I potentially could have problems in my life.”

He added: “It was hard for me, being that young and being in the industry, not knowing where to turn and everyone telling me they loved me and turn their back on you in a second.
“So if she ever needs me I’m gonna be here for her… I’m just a call away.”
Bieber had a professional relationship with Diddy earlier on in his career, something that has returned to the forefront this week after the rapper’s arrest.
The rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York on September 16.

Diddy was charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion – all of which he pleaded not guilty to.
Diddy’s attorney Aaron Dyer said at the time: “Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.”
Earlier this week, Diddy was denied bail for the second time after his attorney suggested a $50 million bond in exchange for his release to home detention with GPS monitoring.
